Neighbors & Economy

The Neighbors & Economy Committee has these objectives:

Housing Stock

  • Increase code enforcement
  • Demolish vacant and dilapidated properties
  • Upgrade larger rental complexes
  • Establish a façade program for homeowners and smaller rental properties
  • Partner with service organizations to perform minor repairs on 100+ homes, including Work Camps
  • Partner with the Community Action Agency of Delaware County (CAADC) to promote weatherization and lead-based paint remediation


  • Partner with the CAADC to promote homeownership programs
  • Partner with Media Fellowship to offer down payment assistance

Social Services

  • Host green collar job training workshops
  • Host tenant-landlord educational programs
  • Partner with the County of Delaware to promote programs
  • Partner with CAADC to promote programs
  • Serve as a clearinghouse for program applications

Recreational Opportunities

  • Establish a youth center and youth activities
  • Coordinate arts and theatre activities for youth
  • Coordinate 2 public art projects


  • Collaborate with local organizations and institutions for community outreach, events, and volunteer opportunities
